Virtual Le Mans Special

Chris and Marty are off to Le Sarthe in June as they review two Le Mans documentaries, Journey to Le Mans and Truth in 24. In other news, we discuss the virtual Le Mans 24H and invite a special guest onto the show to review Ferrari's Le Grand Rendez-Vous film.

First up though, Chris and Marty are joined by Matt Lange to discuss Ferrari's new film Le Grand Rendez-Vous, filmed in a deserted Monaco. There are also official behind the scenes Ferrari articles and video to see what went into the making.

Matt mentioned some of the great historical Ferrari promo films. including Michael Mann's California film, and the 599 vs an F40.

While we wait for the real thing later in the year, Marty enjoyed the ACO's Virtual 24h of Le Mans.

To relive those Le Mans memories, Chris chose Journey to Le Mans with the Jota team, and Marty pulls out what he calls "Possibly the best car film of any genre" Truth in 24.

For our YouTube picks, Chris kept up the Le Mans theme with the somewhat more technically Focus-sed Ford GT: The Return to Le Mans and cheated for his channel recommendation, instead taking a listener suggestion for Inside Line: A Season with Erebus Motorsport playlist from the great Australian V8 Supercars.

Marty went with the brilliantly left-field The Bavarian Ranchhand” E39 M5 chase car, while highlighting the brilliant Sky F1 channel who have been keeping up with the content during a period of no racing.
